What We’re Spinning Today: Lamp of Murmuur & Opeth
If you’ve followed us for more than five minutes you already know: when Lamp of Murmuur drops something new, we stop whatever the hell we’re doing and listen. We’ve seen LoM twice on tour and both times we walked out in a trance. The dude doesn’t just play shows – he summons something.
And today he finally dropped it.

The Dreaming Prince in Ecstasy is out now and up on streaming, and holy hell… it’s every bit as unhinged, elegant, and dream-violating as the early whispers suggested. Two years after Saturnian Bloodstorm – which was one of our top BBV sellers ever – LoM comes back with something that feels like a fever dream cracked open. LoM always walks that line between beauty and total madness. Nobody else in this wave hits that balance quite like he does.
If you loved Saturnian Bloodstorm, good news: it’s getting a fresh reissue in January. That one flew off our shelves the first time. And yes – we will have both. January is stacked.
Meanwhile, on the calmer-but-still-dark end of the spectrum, we’ve also been spinning Opeth – Damnation. The 20th anniversary 180g black vinyl edition is on the table today, fittingly right as the album hit its 23rd birthday this week. And honestly… it still feels like Opeth’s most haunting work. No growls, no chaos, just atmosphere, melancholy, and Akerfeldt writing songs that sound like someone staring out a window at the end of the world.

Strangely perfect pairing with LoM. One drags you through the dream-realm with a knife made of starlight. The other tucks you into the sadness afterward.
More coming soon. And seriously – thank you all for the support.
