It is a liberation both personally and musically from the bonds of the past and genre restrictions alike. At its core, Akt III is a melodic, atmospheric black metal record with the soaring harmonies and infectious riffs this project has gained notoriety for. Peppered amongst the traditions we're accustomed to, you'll find Erech tapping into prog rock, folk music, and indie pop. It all works as a concept of renewal and redemption, moving the project into a new class of extreme artists in a (sub)genre begging for more innovation not less.
