For a whole year he secluded himself from worldly affairs and devoted exclusively to the composition of “\u003cstrong\u003eVissodomontas\u003c\/strong\u003e“, which is the title that seals the debut album of his new project \u003cstrong\u003eTHE MAGUS\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhen we announced the signing with \u003cstrong\u003eThe Magus\u003c\/strong\u003e a few months ago, having only heard a part of the pre-production album, we had written verbatim: “\u003cem\u003eWe can assure that \u003cstrong\u003eThe\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eMagus\u003c\/strong\u003e is at his most creative stage. To the question of whether the new material moves in Black Metal era, our answer is yes, but not only. He managed to create an album full of diverse melodies that transcended the rigid clichés of the idiom. Or rather we should ask: Is there room in raging black metal for choirs? For operatic parts? Would Blues fit into Black Metal? Can the legacy of Dead Can Dance be combined with traditional heavy metal riffing when at the same time the abyss trumpets eerie sounds?\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAll these questions are solved at once when the baguette is in the hands of an experienced composer like \u003cstrong\u003eThe Magus\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eYes, “\u003cstrong\u003eVissodomontas\u003c\/strong\u003e” can well be characterized as extreme, raw \u0026amp; aristocratic black metal, but at the same time there is much more that is slowly revealed to the listener.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e“\u003cstrong\u003eVissodomontas\u003c\/strong\u003e” is an album that is meticulous down to its last detail. Every note, every riff \u0026amp; chorus, is not by chance where it was placed. Except \u003cstrong\u003eEl\u003c\/strong\u003e (Guitars) \u0026amp; \u003cstrong\u003eMaelstorm\u003c\/strong\u003e (Drums) who make up \u003cstrong\u003eTHE MAGUS,\u003c\/strong\u003e a host of well-known musicians participated adding their personal touch (\u003cstrong\u003eKing Dude\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003eIDVex (1\/2 SOUTHERN NORTH),\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003eHel Pyre\u003c\/strong\u003e (\u003cstrong\u003eW.E.B\u003c\/strong\u003e.), \u003cstrong\u003eIraklis Gialatzides\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003e(SWAN CHRISTY)\u003c\/strong\u003e \u0026amp; \u003cstrong\u003eChristos Antoniou (SEPTICFLESH)\u003c\/strong\u003e who did the arrangements for the live choir. At the same time, five graphic designers tackled the artwork of all formats and captured in an exemplary way on paper the nightmarish thoughts of \u003cstrong\u003eThe Magus\u003c\/strong\u003e.
