ABIGOR's 1994 full length debut arrived right as the early 90s underground was boiling over, and it remains one of the boldest and most emotional albums of the Austrian Black Metal explosion. Often overshadowed by Nachthymnen, its songwriting is every bit the equal of the 1995 classic and arguably more varied, ranging from the demonic fury of "Kingdom Of Darkness" to the complexity of "Universe Of Black Divine" and the frozen atmosphere of "Weeping Midwintertears." Silenius delivers what many consider the most powerful vocal performance of his entire ABIGOR tenure.
For the first time on vinyl, this DSR edition restores the original 1994 cover collage. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with an extensive 40 page 12" booklet full of photos and artefacts from 1994, liner notes, and two in-depth interviews: Bruder Cle on the tape-trading underground that shaped the album, and Georg Hrauda of Hörnix Studio, who recorded all the classic 90s ABIGOR records. Also includes an A4 sticker sheet reproducing the two infamous 1994 slogan flyers. The vinyl has been cut true to the original Hörnix master, while the included download code delivers a brand new master made for modern digital listening.
