Austrian atmospheric black metal: Ellende's third album Lebensnehmer on 2LP vinyl!
Ellende is the project of Graz-based multi-instrumentalist L.G., who handles the songwriting, lyrics, vocals and nearly every instrument, and creates all of the band's artwork himself. Released in March 2019 on AOP Records, Lebensnehmer ("life taker") is the third full-length and the companion piece to 2016's Todbringer ("death bringer"). With P.F. on drums, L.G. weaves strings and classical instrumentation into long, melancholic black metal compositions that swing from torrents of blast beats to quiet, aching passages.
