Germany's The Circle and their 2023 concept album Of Awakening, on a gatefold LP limited to 200 copies!
Released by AOP Records in August 2023, Of Awakening is the second album from German trio The Circle: guitarist and composer Stanley Robertson, vocalist Asim Searah (ex-Wintersun) and drummer Philipp Wende. The band calls its sound "Art Metal": ambient black and doom metal laced with progressive and symphonic elements. Across five long tracks, the concept album moves through egoism, devastation and self-hatred toward reflection and self-awakening, with guest violin from Tim Charles of Ne Obliviscaris.
Format: Gatefold LP, limited to 200 copies, with black flood inside.
